With a wide variety of CBD hemp products on the market, it is very important to know everything about where your product comes from and how it was processed. Take a moment to learn about Native Hemp Extract's methods for providing high quality cannabinoid rich products.
At Native Hemp Extract we only use certified USDA compliant femenized seed genetics from the county's best breeders to provide high concentrations of minor cannabinoids and natural terpenes in our CBD products.
Instead of relying on the weather to germinate direct seeding, we germinate our seeds in greenhouses individually by hand to develop powerful roots for transplant and to get a few extra weeks growth on our plants for larger yields.
We use a hand planting method to transplant our seedlings into the field. Using manual planting methods, we can ensure proper spacing for irrigation purposes and we can ensure the root zone soil is loose and properly amended.
Instead of using heavy machinery to combine the entire plant into "biomass" for extraction, we take the time to remove all of the flower material by hand for proper drying and a better quality/yielding final product.
Many large scale operations farm massive amounts of mechanically harvested CBD hemp that requires heat/mechanical drying. This heating process removes beneficial terpenes and some minor cannabinoids, at NHE we air dry at or below 70 degrees F.
Full spectrum hemp products contain all of the cannabinoids and terpenes naturally found in the hemp plant in the same concentrations as it existed in the field. Our goal is to maintain that natural balance through minimized processing of our hemp flower.
There are 113 known cannabinoids produced by the cannabis plant. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol) are the most commonly known. What is known as "marijuana" is a cannabis plant that produces more than 0.3% total THC. Every other cannabis plant is considered Hemp. Hemp contains a wide variety of naturally occurring compounds that work together to support each other.
Full spectrum products contain the entire natural collection of cannabinoids and terpenes that provide a well balanced oil. Our full spectrum products are naturally flavored, often times very "earthy" tasting due to the natural terpene profile in the oil.
Isolate, or CBD isolate in this case, is full spectrum crude oil that has been distilled into a pure CBD product. Any cannabinoid can be isolated, but CBD isolate is most generally used due to current market demand. CBD isolate does not contain a naturally occurring blend of all the minor cannabinoids and terpenes. The isolates are often times blended with artificial flavors.

a tall widely cultivated Asian herb (Cannabis sativa of the family Cannabaceae, the hemp family) that is cultivated for its tough bast fiber and edible seeds and oil and that is often separated into a tall loosely branched species (C. sativa) and a low-growing densely branched species (C. indica). (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
the psychoactive dried resinous flower buds and leaves of the female hemp or cannabis plant (Cannabis sativa or C. indica) that contain high levels of THC and are smoked, vaped, or ingested (as in baked goods) especially for their intoxicating effect.
(Merriam-Webster Dictionary)

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana's psychological effects. It acts much like the cannabinoid chemicals made naturally by the body, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
Although hemp flowers may look and smell similar to regular THC-cannabis flowers, their chemical structure, cannabinoid content, and terpene profiles are quite different. The hemp plant produces Colas (pictured) which may be called flower or buds.
Organic compounds that provide aroma and flavor in cannabis and a variety of other organisms, including plants. Terpenes are responsible for the aroma and flavors of cannabis, and influence its effects by interacting with cannabinoids. (Weedmaps)
The world ‘cola’ refers to the cannabis flower that develops right at the end of any branch. It’s usually used in reference to the biggest bud of all that grows at the top of the plant’s main stem, but does in fact apply to all buds that appear at the ends of major branches It is sometimes referred to as the main cola, the apical bud or the terminal bud, but in all instances is exactly the same thing.
